Yep. Even if you have a pre-existing condition, you can probably afford this type of coverage. And, it’s not really medical insurance. It is a program that helps people have affordable access to preventative health care from a physician in their area. And, as you might expect, there are some limitations. But Chad Harris, CEO, has come up with a new plan for members of the No Insurance Club. This is a type of preventative health care program that cuts out the middle man, and the insurance rules. Everyone knows that if you can catch certain diseases and conditions early enough, the chances of cure and recovery are much greater. And with millions of uninsured Americans, there are a high number of people suffering from conditions that could have been treated earlier.
The No Insurance Club has a simple plan. Pay a one-time fee (single coverage is $480, $Couples 580, Families $680 yearly) and you will get 12 visits to the doctor each year, (16 visits for the family plan) plus any needed blood tests. There are no additional co-pays for the visits, and no pre-screening. This service is only available in 10 states right now. (New York, Pennsylvania, North Caroline, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arizona, California and Washington)
The important thing to remember is that this is a preventative program. If you have to go to the emergency room or have surgery, this policy will not cover that. But, if you are basically healthy, it can provide a measure of reassurance that no underlying diseases or conditions are lurking.
Chad hopes to expand his program to include more services and to be available in more states. He envisions a specialized type of service that can be arranges with locals in a local area at a reduced rate. Since there is no middle man in the payment process, the cost can be decreased.
